This is a gem of a place to visit in a really peaceful and picturesque location. The cafe is excellent with inside and outside seating. Delicious menu as all dishes are homemade, including the honey ice cream ( lovingly made by Pam) which is outstanding! Excellent service from Pam! Lovely lunch. Looking forward to our return visits.
A really lovely couple of hours spent here enjoying watching the bees at work in the various hives. I could have stayed a lot longer watching them work away! the leaf cutting ants were also fascinating to watch and learn about. We then enjoyed the honey tasting which was really well priced at £7.50. I never would have thought to have had honey with cheese but wow! I'm converted! For me i would have liked to have learned more about the bees, such as the social structure of the hive, the job of each bee, the role of the drones... read more
Was staying at a friend's caravan and just saw the brown tourist sign and called in on the way past. Shame the bee's were having a kip but a lovely shop with very friendly staff and more than happy for to try before you buy and very informative. Will call in again when visiting the area
As it was the end of March and having checked the website. Which said although everything else was closed the shop was open, we decided to visit. Sadly after a ten mile journey it wasn't. Beautiful location I'm sure when it's actually open it's a great visit
A quaint meadery and honey farm. A bit off the beaten track but worth the journey. Free on site parking with a display and tour available which can be pre-booked. There is a very well stocked shop selling various styles and flavours of home produced honey and meads.
