I just had the worst experience with a company ever. I called in to report tree branches tangled on the power lines and the representative who refused to give me anything other than the name Nancy was condescending, demeaning and down right rude. When she told me there was a note that a technician cleared the branches and I stated no one had come to my home she said and I quote,"They don't just leave notes for the fun of it." I asked for a supervisor and she stated there were none available, and that if I insisted on speakin... read more

I have been without power for four days after a tree fell on my house. I got the tree removed, an electrician to repair damages, and had the city inspect and approve repairs. But AEP seems so overwhelmed they have no idea when they can reestablish power. This is what happens when there i a monopoly, customer service dies!

So now aep is charging me an extra $120 on my light bill for "distribution." That's a 36% increase. #pricegouging

AEP came out and destroyed the trees in the back of our yard. They did a horrible job and left the tree so lopsided that it will probably fall over. They claim they are not responsible for how it looks or what happens to if afterward. Their only concern is to clear the power lines. This is very upsetting and I would like the public to know what happens when you cooperate and allow them access to your property. Photos are posted on my page. Thanks
