I adopted my best friend from an off-site adoption event the Humane Society of Tampa had at the Subaru dealership around the corner 2 years ago. The owners of the dealership were so nice and loving they even helped the families with the adoption fees. I thank the owners at Subaru and the Humane Society of Tampa family for bringing me such great joy with my fur baby � he is my best friend and o couldn't live without him �
Why do you guys only post pics of people when they adopt dogs and not cats? Just curious
Adopted our dog from here several months ago. We adore him and HSTB is a wonderful organization.
Humane Society of Tampa Bay has imported over 1000 dogs mainly puppies in the last year. They are the largest importer of puppies in our community, yet they send dogs and cats to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center to be killed. So they are not a no kill shelter they just don't stick the needle in. They are contributing to our over pet population problem and said recently at an Animal Advisory Committee meeting that 'They couldn't manufacture enough interest in a pit bull type'. We adopted our rescue pup back in January and she is the sweetest, most loving little girl we could've asked for! The lady who helped us through the adoption took so much time to answer any questions we had and made the process so easy.
Terrible service can't get off there lazy butts to get a dog that's been dropped off an then say there to busy today to pick the animal call tomorrow an give us a case number ok so what am I supposed to do with him wtf all this talk about caring for animals an u guys can't come rescue a dropped off dog
I have a great deal of respect for this organization. They are clearly well organized and have a good system in place. They allow you to do a "test run" with dogs to see if the dog is a right fit for your family without pressuring you to adopt on the spot. The test run helped my family realize we aren't a two dog household, and the shelter was extremely understanding and supportive of that. That was huge for me.
