My boyfriend and I have adopted our wonderful Lab mix and sweet cat from Humane Society of Tampa Bay. They have the kindest staff. We love our animals and are so grateful to HSTB for helping us to give them forever homes.
Went in and saw a dog I wanted to adopt AND was told that I couldn't have it. It was going to a adoption event on Wednesday and if it wasn't adopted there then I could come back and see if it was available. ReAlly, I was There and ready to pay for it and take it home today, but they said I couldn't adopt him. Are they really trying to find these animals homes or is it all about the Benjamin's even at that Level. I couldn't even leave my name for it just in cause he didn't get adopted. Shelter is killing all the while accepting other dogs from out of state what's the sense in that???
The HSTB is NOT no kill. Wake UP!!!! This "Humane" Society sends dogs to HCAS when they want to make room for those out-of-state puppies (flown in from Georgia today). HCAS just KILLED the dog (Bailey) that the HSTB dumped there. REAL RESCUES do NOT send dogs to KILL SHELTERS!!! Hold them accountable. Donate to a rescue that does not KILL.
