Over 10,000 dogs and cats were euthanized at the county shelter between 2013 and 2015. Over the past 23 years, I've adopted 3 dogs and 1 cat from here. Has always been a great experience.
I think it is just AWFUL that you would euthanize an animal, SO QUICKLY, without having all the information at your disposal. i,e. SPATOLA who had an adopter available, but you decided to euthanize him. YOUR choices are bad when you rush into them without all the information, just BECAUSE.
I am shocked and saddened to hear about a dog named Spatola, who was "rescued" by your facility from the local county shelter known as Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center. This dog was deemed healthy, and with a temperment making him adoptable to the public. The county shelter vetted Spatola to give him a chance at a future in a good home.
