This was the most fulfilling experience of a lifetime and I felt entirely assured while I was being educated on owning a dog! As a first time dog owner my experience has been so wonderful I have decided I will only adopt for the rest of my life and encourage everyone else to adopt from this Humane Society in the Bay Area, or any Humane Society for that matter! Just adopted my second dog from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. We took him home for a two week "test drive" to see how he would do in our home, as he was very scared in the shelter. He had been put temporarily into a foster home to help relieve some of the stress of the shelter environment. HSTB watches out for dogs like him who need a little extra TLC or time to adjust. We adopted Reese from the Box of Chocolates and we love him so much. He is growing into a handsome chocolate boy !! Thank you again for our sweet boy !!
We've adopted two pets from them, and we went in serveral times just to look around before deciding on the right pet for us. I'm super impressed by the staff and how they handle so many people coming through the shelter each day. The animals are well cared for and looked after. I'm grateful we decided to adopt from HSTB.
I have never adopted a critter from you. However, I see negative posts. I suggest this to the negative posters. Go there and work for a day. See and experience what they do, touch, smell, etc. What do they do with the animal waste? Before you judge learn.
Today I had to get my old cat euthanized. As we all know it's not a pleasant experience. I've had animals all my life and I've gone thru this so many times. The staff treated me so very very WONDERFUL, they were kind pleasant and got in me to the back quickly (thanks ESP for that) Thank you for the hugs & the kind words and sweet energy.
