I adopted my sweetheart Garmin here on Friday and could not have been happier with the experience. For a shelter, the kennels were clean, the animals looked happy, and I loved all the different rooms for all the different animals. Keep up the great work!
Get your paperwork in order or resign. You're euthanizing good animals, ones that are chipped, have owners coming to get them. You're lying and saying they run away, or that they've been aggressive toward staff, knowing full well you're being deceitful. No kill? Yeah, right...
Place to get a 2nd chance my butt. Don't take proper precautions with a scared dog (like a muzzle ) and euthanize because a dog snaps, after being told that dog doesn't like exams.
I love the fact that the staff rescues animals. We got Duke from here, we had to foster at first due to skin mites. The humane society rescued him when he was 8 weeks old from a puppy mill in Alabama. They were going to put him down, but our humane society saved him not only from death by nasty people but also from skin mites!!! Thank you so much for my Dukester!!
The Animal Health Center is just awful. I wish I had known about the Animal Coalition instead of going here.
Unfortunately, not a cat friendly place, especially if your cat is scared of the change of environment. Last year I had to wait for a longer period of time to go to the back with my cat, he was scared so I handled him and everything was fine. This year that wasn't even an offer they took him to the back and brought him out saying he needed to be sedated in order to get his vaccines.
