Dr. Johnson nearly killed my father (East Wing, 3rd floor). He was complaining of extreme pain after colon surgery and couldn’t breath; the doctor simply ignored him and didn’t even examine him. Turns out that bile and feces were collecting in his upper colon and 3 full containers were drained. If this was not caught by the nurses and another doctor, he could have very well gone into sepsis and be dead. Completely unacceptable, and complaint filed with the medical board and State of MN.

Doctor amjad ali shahid is a joke he treated me unfair because he thought my asthma symptoms were due to covid all he could talk about was covid the whole time when all I have is asthma symptoms which is a flare up no fever no loss of taste or smell he came in and barely checked me out he checked me out while I was in the chair he seen me for all maybe 5 minutes and shooed me out the back door smh never again !!!! Horrible staff, no importance from any of the staff. They made me wait over 13 hrs with a broken neck to just see a neurosurgeon and now I still wait for answers. The 1 nurse actually raised her voice and yelled at me. Had my call button on for 10 minutes puked blood needed they help. And only 1 person has actually been kind. When I told them I wanted to transfer they basically used scare tactics so I didn’t transfer. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER COME HERE.

I was admitted for sky high blood sugar and they helped me navigate my newly diagnosed diabetes and are continuing with amazing care and treatment! my fiance also broke his arm and had it very negligently casted at another hospital and he was in great pain so I asked him to come to Abbott and they immediately recognized circulation was being cut off and re cast him appropriately and are going to be taking great care of him with their orthopedic team!!
