Hip full service salon in hear of Pearl. – Tadimdia is a fun, intelligent and talented stylist. She's always a joy to see and talk with while getting a great cut & color. She's very flexibile and seems to love her work. Parking is the only issue that comes to mind with 77 as it's sometimes difficult to find street parking, but they are centrally located so all mean of transpo are available.
Christian is supremely talented – It's always amazing when you find a hairdresser who is skilled and passionate about his work. So I feel incredibly lucky to have heard from Christian from a friend of mine. He has a great eye for beautiful color and gave me a cool haircut without making me feel over-trendy or like I was trying too hard. In addition to Christian's talent, 77 is just a great space. They carry great products from Phyto and Rusk and are in a great area for urban dweller like myself.
Tadimdia is FANTASTIC – I moved to portland about a year and a half ago and never trusted anyone to do my hair except for my salon back east, until I met Tadimdia. She made me feel completely relaxed and confident that she understood exactly what I wanted. My cut and color were so well done that I constantly get compliments even from my stylist back east. Elys is the best – I have been going to the same hair dresser for years. I was starting to feel like I was getting the same old thing. I met Elys and she gave me her card. I am always a little hesitant to try someone new. It is my hair. Bad things could happen. Well I decided to take the plung. To my great delight I got the best cut and color of my life. Best haircut ever!!!! – I just went to 77 for the first time today, and I have to say that it is my all time favorite place to go for a haircut!!!! Michael was my stylist, and I highly recommend him. He knew exactly how to make my style work for me. I was very nervous at first because I was cutting off a lot of length, but it turned out fantastic. This has got to be the best haircut I've ever gotten!!!!
Been meaning to write a review for a long time about how happy I am to have found a fantastic colorist Nickol at 77. Brought my roommate in this week to have her hair done and she loved her hi lites as much as me. Saw in one of the last reviews a person was not happy with what they got from someone at the salon and that's unfortunate because I have always been happy after leaving. Could be great for others, just not for me – After reading the reviews and checking out thier website, I decided to take a chance and go to this salon. At first I couldn't find the place, after walking around the block for 10 mins I finally lowered my head in shame, and BOOM there it was. Thier website now states that it is located in the basement. Very very happy with my hair service – My friend at work who has awesome highlights recommended me to Nickol when I decided to finally get thermal straightening done on my super frizzy hair. Did my homework and learned Nickol is highly trained having gone through an intern program and having worked at Fred Segal in Los Angeles. Always a risk going to someone new to do your hair but finding Nickol was worth the risk Was also glad to hear she just specializes in color and hair treatments and not cutting.
