Saved my hair! – Nikol Johnson is the best colorist i have ever came across. I went from having a horrid do-it-myself dark brown dye job to gorgeous extremely blonde hair! It looks amazing and is healthy, to boot. She's SO talented and I have never gotten to many complements as I have since going to her. Prices are great, atmosphere is fun and the service goes above and beyond. Nikol is truely my hair hero! :)
Mandy is Amazing! – I have never loved my hair more then when I go to Mandy. I've known her since I was a freshman in high school and Ive been with her ever since. I am now a senior in college in San Diego, and every time Im back in Portland I make sure to get an appointment. Mandy never dissappoints! Lincoln is an amazing stylist – Request Lincoln as yourstylist if you are looking for a professional cut and/or color with creativity. He's hip and cool and you will be too once he is finished with you hair. Plus, he does great things with curly hair. The Davines products he uses have saved me. I am obsessed with having my hair colored every 4-6 weeks and my hair remains soft, conditioned and shiny.
bad experience... – i went there for a hair color.. my appt was at 1pm, i didn't leave until 5pm! we went over swatches and i chose the one i liked. the 1st time she did it, my BLACK hair came out BRIGHT RED!!! it looked nothing like the swatch! so she died it again and toned it down. well the end result: black hair! yup it looked exactly how it did when i walked in. in the sunlight u can see a hint of auburn. she wanted to redo it again but by that time i was already there for 4 hrs, i was starving, i had to go to the bathr... read more
I LOVE 77! – You've gotta taste the bitter to know whats sweet... and this place is DEFINATELY sweet! This ubercool basement filled with beautiful people and incredible stylists should never have an empty seat! My preference is Mandy - as she's the queen bee of the place... but I've never heard a complaint about any of the others. PS - it is true ... YOU'RE ONLY AS COOL AS YOUR HAIR!
I LOVE MY STYLIST!!! – I love my stylist Jessica! She does a wonderful job at making me feel great about my hair as well as showing me how to do all the styles I want to try. The salon is very trendy and always has a brand new look. There are always new artists displaying their talents on the walls and there are excellent hair and accessories product to try. I have gone to Jessica for all my coloring and styling needs for years now and would never let anyone but her touch my hair!
Jessica works magic! – Jessica has done my hair for nearly 10 years. I usually go to my appointment with a vague idea of what I want and I always leave with exactly what I was thinking. She provides me with ideas for new cuts, color combinations or styling techniques that will work for me. I will never go to another stylist because she does an amazing job. I would highly recommend her to everyone I know.
WOW- Finally! – Finally a wonderous experience! 77 is great. The staff is personable and talented. My haircut and color was just what I needed to give me a lift. The make-up artist is amazing. I left feeling like a new woman. They host different kinds of events for the clients and they are really fun. I loved the Phyto Shampoo and conditioning treatment that was recommended. They host different kinds of events and they sound really fun- I can't wait to see for myself.
Jessica is terrific! – Jessica did my hair for my wedding and since then, has done my cut and color. She's talented, listens to what I want for my hair and accomplishes it every time. I can't say enough about the salon either -- they are hip without the attitude!
