We we're in town to look for housing as I will be in charge of building the new apartments across from the Dwell. Former bartender Elaine, recommended having dinner her. We were NOT disappointed. It was busy when we got there, but found a seat right away. Service was great, server made some great recommendations to include the crab fries. Really liked it. The food, the ambience, staff everything was spot on. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed at all. We tried hot chicken and crab fries, yum. We will definitely go there again .

Drove up from Chattanooga to meet my daughter and son-in-law for dinner last night ~ our first time at 55 South. I had the shrimp and grits - yum! Bartender and wait staff all gave fantastic service.
