If you're a foodie and you love a chilled beer but cant find the right spot, guess what? You just did at 5 Spot. Walk in early morning and they greet you with a king-size breakfast. At noon grab a quick bite and it's back to work or you can have a quiet mid-day meal. Dinner is always fun because out here you can kick it till midnight. Good food, great company and a cool beer and voila life is fine! And you thought it was going to be another one of those boring nights.

the breakfasts here are always yummy - they should stick to that. the regional dinners are hit or miss. little italy was fabulous, the big easy isn't so hot. their food tends to be very hearty/greasy, too much fried stuff, not enough flavor. the service is attentive but slow.
eclectic – The five spot isn't the most romantic or family oriented...but it has breakfast 24 hours a day and it is definitely world class! Definitely been a favorite in my family for years!
what breakfast is supposed to be – this is what breakfast is all about. walk in with a hangover, walk out with a hangover, but at least breakfast will be good
It's The Big Easy! – The newest change has gone Creole! We just had dinner at our favorite neighborhood restaurant on Sat. and were happy to see yummy cajun food! The catfish etoufee and jumbalaya were great (very spicy!) but the chocolate bread pudding souffle with whisky cream was to die for!!
brian – Horrible, what in gods name is the attraction here?? The food is bland, no flavor at all. I might as well eat in England.
Funky & Good – We've gone twice now, both for late night meals. Both times were good. I got their Key West specials and enjoyed the citrus and spices. My husband was quite satisfied the first time, but the second he had a disappointing hot turkey sandwich (turkey was so dry he had to ask for extra gravy). They were nice enough to buy us dessert. Decent food, fun decor, nice waitstaff, and good place to eat when it's late and other restaurants are closed.
SUPER breakfasts – GREAT breakfast selections! My wife and I plan to try it for dinner soon.
Crappy Conch – First of all, this review is for my most recent visit...I usually love the 5 Spot. That said, the latest menu "Conch Republic" is a complete bust. Their attempt to replicate Caribbean jerk cuisine with nothing more than a deep fryer and a shaker full of none-too-subtly-balanced spices is regrettable...the conch fritters are fine, but noweher near the luscious morsels I enjoyed in Florida. The spicy fish and chips are inedible -- what the hell ARE those chips??? Also, our entrees came out when we were half-way ... read more
a seattle must-do – This place has consistently good food, nice wait staff, even nice patrons. make it your breakfast hang out, like hundreds of others have. just get there before they do on Sundays (before 11 a.m.) to avoid huge lines.
