Left Speechless by the Turkey Sandwich – Let me start by saying that I eat a lot of Turkey sandwiches (5-7 per week minimum), so it is hard to impress me. I ordered the open faced turkey sandwich and was left speechless. The turkey was freshly roasted, mash potatoes creamy, and gravy flavorful. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. My wife had the special, a blackened chicken breast served open face with a red pepper aoili on the bun and covered with cheeese. It came with deep fried battered leeks, which we had neve... read more

Bad! – Breakfast was ok (that's about it). Gave them a second chance for dinner and won't waste my time going any further.

awsome now ! ! ! bland before? – i have only lived in seattle a couple of years, so maybee the place was bland and disapointing before, but itsgreat now. i was recomended by a friend and thought the idea of a changing menu and decore sounded unique and fun. and i was not disapointed. the place is lively and full of energy and color. the service was amazing and our waitress was very knowledgeable about beers, and ingredients in the food. i eat there regularly now. and one morning i went out to breakfast at another place close... read more

The worst Service – My brother, father and I went to breakfast at 5 Spot, my brother and I both are in the service, I was in civilian attire and he in his uniform were refused service. As a member of the services, it is very sad when you are ignored and repeatedly told to wait another 20 min at a restaurant that obviously has openings (seating 5 families of equal size who also walked in after you) and repeating "For YOU it will be another 20 min" after almost an hour we left. This restaurant has had decent food in the past b... read more

Best French Toast!!! – I have been to "5 Spot" twice and enjoyed the cinnamon swirl French toast with caramel sauce on both visits. Although $9.00 seems rather expensive for French toast, it is worth it. You will be served two thick slices of cinnamon swirl bread, with a dollop of butter, and covered in a most delicious caramel sauce. This dish is definitely for those that enjoy something sweet for breakfast.

Only go after 10pm for 5 dollar dinners. Sunday is terrible. – I usually go to the 5 Spot for late night happy hour ($5 dinners, $1 dollar PBR). I just went there today (Sunday breakfast) and it SUCKED. Eggshells in eggs, all 5 plates had wrong egg orders, undercooked potatoes, disgusting pork chop (usually tastes better during happy hour), crappy cook, incompetent wait staff. We informed the waitress of all these problems and she didn't even comp us a single plate. Only go late night after 10pm. Food is cheaper, wait staff ... read more

Real food and real value – These guys do a great job of providing "diner" food without all the grease in a casual atmosphere. A great place to go in the morning for brunch on a rainy day. The place warms me up.

Ok food, horrible service and rude wait staff – Before going I checked out reviews on citysearch and was warned of the bad service. I should have known I would get much the same. Walking in it was very busy place and that usually means its good or its the only place around (learned later the latter is probably it). However, right after walking in everything went down hill. My partner and I walk in and see there are a few people waiting for seats so we do what anyone would do and look for a host to put us on a list. However, ... read more

Best breakfast in Seattle – My husband & I live in Sammamish and drive to the 5 spot several times a month for breakfast. We usually go around noon to beat the rush. I've had several dishes and all were good except the biscuits and gravy. Their french toast is super yummy and so are their omelets, pancakes, and their 5 spot breakfast is the best - complete w/ hashbrowns, eggs, toast and bacon - it is a lot of food! Their hashbrowns have spices that make them so much better than anywhere else. Their dinner menu rotates to a n... read more
