After running a recruiting agency for 22 years now, ZoomInfo aka DiscoverOrg is without a doubt the SLEAZIEST, SLIMIEST vendor we have ever had the misfortune to work with. After being with them for a number of years, we found RocketReach which is substantially less money with dramatically better contact info, so decided not to renew with Zoom. Zoominfo.com has an inaccurate listing showing me as having closed my 26 year-old business and going to work for a firm with whom my firm collaborated on business over a decade ago and for which I have never worked. They posted my picture, copied partial information from my own website, listed me as a member of a management team, posted a phone number and email address for me to which I am not associated. If I could give this business negative stars I would. STEER CLEAR of this unscrupulous business and thieving business practices. After calling to cancel their useless services they kept trying to schedule meetings to "help expand" the account when CLEARLY we wanted to cancel. Once they exhausted the cancelation period of 60 days they reached back and told us we could not cancel because it was 50 days prior to renewal. I received an email telling me that my personal information is available in their database. When I tried to follow the directions to opt out, it informed me that my email address (the very one they used to email me) was not found in their database, but if I submitted lots MORE personal information, including past employers, they could find me and then delete my profile. Sure sounds like a phishing scheme to me!
Zoominfo posted completely inaccurate information about my business on their website. I contacted them to have the inaccurate information removed. After waiting a month, I received an email saying the information would be removed within a week. Six weeks after this email, they have still not removed the information, nor have they responded to my followup inquiry.
In reading many other complaints I realize I'm not alone in this fraudulent and bullying company. First they duped me into a very expensive plan then after a year and during COVID there was no way we could afford another year. Especially, since most the companies had people dismissed out of purchasing etc... and emails were returning as 'Person no longer with company.' I have no idea how they got my personal info, and who gave them permission to sell out. This is incredibly invasive, and cannot be legal, and I can't be the only one. Is there a class action lawsuit for this yet?
Zoominfo published my information without my authorization. I had to "claim" and remove my own information. And even worse: they posted wrong info under my company address: they posted one of my clients' home address! Websites and tech companies like this should not have the right to publish anyone's info without consent. Especially when my info was published wrong on top of that! This company has posted my private information without my permission. They have taken it from another private website and uploaded it for the world to see. It causes me great concern for my own privacy and I want it taken down.
