I was on a completely different webpage and suddenly all of this ZOOMINFO stuff started to download onto my computer. The "cancel" button was frozen and all i could do was restart and remove the program. I feel i am lucky it did know harm to my computer. To make matters worse, i got an email on my WORK EMAIL ADDRESS from them and i NEVER provided any information. I don't even know what ZoomInfo is!!!! Zoominfo, as I have recently found, shares information with companies engaged in spamming. Furthermore, when I asked zoominfo to remove our company from their database, they refused, saying it was not their policy to remove businesses from their database. If you like being spammed, then zoominfo is your hero. If you don't like being spammed, then zoominfo is a company you don't want to share any information with.
I have been receiving unsolicited emails almost daily on my professional email account. I recently asked one of the sales reps emailing me where they got my info from, and they were gracious enough to explain they get it from DiscoverOrg. DiscoverOrg never received my permission to publish my personal contact information to the public, nor do they offer an option to opt out on their website.
