best b-day – Was owed a meal from a friend and she ended up taking me to the Yuca Bar and wow was the place great. great drinks!!!! – I went to Yuca Bar this past saturday night with four friends for a birthday dinner (mine). Although they wouldn't take reservations, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food was Terrific, and the margaritas were good and really, really strong. My friend had the sea bass, and I coveted it all night, b/c it was so yummy. Liars – My husband and I went to Yuca Bar last night because we haven't been there in a while and loved their mojitos. After checking their website, we saw they were advertising happy hour from 5-8 on weekends. Once we got to the restaurant and asked the hostess about the happy hour, she acted clueless, as if she had no idea what we were talking about. great place to hang out! – i went to yuca last thursday with some friend from work, looking around we saw the happy hour specials and we went in, the place was packed, so we had few drinks at the bar while waiting. The mojitos are some of best i tried in the city. When we sat the waitress was very knowlegable and answered all my questions since i was not familiar with some of the things. worst service ever! – we order 6 $10 shots of tequilla and they gave us water... not watered down tequilla... straight water... and when asked why they were all water he said and i quote "that tequilla is really smooth, huh?" in the most smug of tones... i hate Yuca Bar and will never go there again... please do the same!
Awesome!! I found this place by luck and I'm glad I did! The food was delicious! The drinks were GREAT!! And the staff puts the icing on the cake.The prices were average. Not cheap but not ridiculously expensive but it is so well worth it if you want a good meal!! I went with 3 other people who all had different meals and they loved it! Very comfortable atmosphere.
Excellent Happy Hour - Tough To Beat – I was here with a friend a few weeks ago for happy hour around 7pm on a Tuesday... it's a tough deal to beat. All of the small plates (tapas) are half off and if I recall correctly, the drinks were also. The outside seating area is sort of small but if you are lucky enough to land a table out there, you should take it because Yuca is on the corner and the area around the restaurant is la*d back and relaxing. Great Drinks, Inexpensive Lunch – Really tasty latin drinks and great prices on lunch menu. They often have happy hours which really make the check easy on the wallet. Great people watching when it is nice outside.
Awesome – I drink mojitos pretty much wherever I go, and Yuca Bar has the best mojitos I've ever had. Service was excellent, food was great, and the drinks are strong. Couldn't ask for anything more
