Horrible service, mediocre food – How did this place get so many stars? It must be the owners posting reviews because the food was mediocre at best, and the service was horrible. I'm a fan of spanish/latin/tapas cuisine so have been to many places around the city, and this place was average at best and not worth the price. Let's just say this place seems to belong in times square, not east village (unoriginal, hurried and commercialized).
decent food, horrible waitress – me and two friends planned on going to 7A across the street but decided on yuca bar based on the atmosphere, the menu and ambiance. it was packed, good loud friendly crowd, nice nyc night. the maitre-d was friendly, helpful and kind, as was the bartender. it took a bit longer to get seated, but the matire-d made sure we were constantly updated on the situation which we appreciated. however,our waitress was kinda pushy and impatient abt ordering food. again we didnt mind; it was packed and bus... read more
best service ever – we went there a few times, the food and the drinks are the best, the restroom always clean, toilet paper and soap always full and they have a super air freshener, smell great, we will go back,
go for mojitos – I went to this place last night, and the mojitos were just the best i had in ny, we had some tapas like crab cakes with mango and shrimp tacos that were very tasty, i recommend the steak with mashed potatoes. service was friendly and they have half price on tuesdays, i will defenetly come back on tuesdays...........
great place!!!!!!! – I've been here a lot, and have never had a bad meal. The food's great and the service is very good (but not pushy at all). Sangria is usually good, but occassionally its a bit weak. Prices are good as well. You could make a meal out of the tapas. I only wished they changed up the menu a little bit more often.
Good Food worst service ever.... – The food is exellent also the drinks. but the bartenders managers and waiters provide the worst service ever, first of all they have happy hour from5pm to 8pm 6$ a drink i ordered my last round of drinks around 7:45 the guy told me hold on and he turned his back on me for 10 minutes and he was not doing anything around 7:58 started making my drinks and supposely i had to pay 24$ he told me 37$ i asked him why and he said we stop charging happy hours drinks 5 minutes before 8. whatever i pai... read more
good drinks – Had a celebratory work lunch here and it was the perfect place. The sangria was strong and good, the tapas were excellent.
best b-day – Was owed a meal from a friend and she ended up taking me to the Yuca Bar and wow was the place great. The drinks are great, have two of them and you?ll swear that you have some percentage of Latin in you. Our app, name I am forgetting, was comprised of beef, fried onions, and flat bread ? amazing. great drinks!!!! – I went to Yuca Bar this past saturday night with four friends for a birthday dinner (mine). Although they wouldn't take reservations, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food was Terrific, and the margaritas were good and really, really strong. My friend had the sea bass, and I coveted it all night, b/c it was so yummy.
