Rudest bartender in New York – My friend and I went to catch a drink at Yuca Bar on a weeknight this week. According to the official website, the places closes at 1 am everyday. We ordered a drink at 11:30 pm that night, took our drinks from the bar, and sat down to catch up on the nearby stools in the corner. At 12:05 am, the bartender, much to our shock, yells out of nowhere at my friend and I, "You ladies to have 3 minutes to finish your drink and get out." His stunned fellow staff started laughing nervously, thinking he ... read more

Great food, fun atmosphere – So tasty!!! The pinchos variados appetizer was amazing...you get three different kinds of meat, a mini flame to heat them up to your liking, and numerous dipping sauces. The salmon ceviche was delish with just the right amount of lime juice and cilantro. The guac was amazing as well. I'd definitely recommend going with a group and sharing a bunch of tapas rather than ordering an entree. We went at 9pm on a Friday night (group of 5) and definitely expected to wait. We were told 20 minutes, which e... read more

Best mojitos around – I've been back here time and time again, always taking new groups of friends and everyone always has a great time. If you can get out of work early (which I can't), that weekday happy hour prices make it all the better. Mmmmm coconut mojitos

A definite must go! – So my boyfriend and I decided to go here for dinner last night and thank God we did. The service was just right. The decor of the place was very sheek yet comfortable. And the food? Absolutely delicious!!! My boyfriend had the roast pork and I had the chicken which was cooked to perfection. I'd recommend this to my closest friends and family. Fresh food made for a happy rest of the evening...

Not bad – The Yuca Bar offers a unique variety of spanish food without being too exotic or ordinary. My food was ok, perhaps I didn't choose the best entree but the drinks were pretty good. Try the Yuca Sunrise, it's a mixture of a margarita and sangria drink. The absolute best attribute this place has to offer is the waitstaff - EXCELLENT! I was so pleased with our waitress; it was a great relief to be given a break from the snob-fest characteristic of so many bar/restaurants. All and all you can't go wrong.

Horrible Hostess that night – Last night, we (family) made our way what would of been our second time at the Yuca Bar. Since, we experienced having a good time there the last time, we figure yes this is were we want to hang out tonight. Well, we ask for a table for 3 and she kindly wrote down her name and told us 20 mins. to be seated. Thoses were the longest 20 mins., we've ever experienced. She looked over acknowledging us a few times, ask once if we were waiting for a table for three, looked over again and sat about 12 Co... read more

Worth checking out – My experience both times i've been has been a good one. I've been there during the weekend, and yes it has been very crowded, but it's something i'm not uncomfortable with. The ambiance is very lively, loud, and i've had a good experience with the waiters. They were attentive and efficient with their service. I love their veggie burger( i'm not even a vegetarian), very flavorful--tasty. Their sangrias are decent, they can be strong which is a good thing!

The mojitos are some of the best i've tried, the food its decent and good portions, i like crab cakes and lobster quesadilla, it gets crowded but who wants to be in an empty place?.........
