Beautiful restaurant! Great food! Service... – Got a great recommendation on XIX & a gift card as a gift, so how could I resist. My girlfriend & I arrived for our reservation a little early, but we were still promptly seated at table right next to the raw bar, which gave a good view around the whole room. Beatiful room but not enough to eat – The room was beautiful, the service was very attentive and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, after our meal was complete all four the people at our table were still hungry. Each person in our party had an appetizer, entree and one drink. We opted to skip dessert and go out for ice cream at "More than Just Ice Cream" as we didn't want to plop down $52 for dessert and coffee that probably would have been delicious, but still left us wanting for more. A perfect first-date place – I agree with the reviewer below (dexl), this place is pretty difficult to find the first time around, but the food and the atmosphere are top-notch. I took a first date here and everything was perfect and it was actually a lot more affordable than I thought it was going to be.
Fabulous room, great view, amazing food. – We went there for the Sunday Brunch and came away very impressed. $40 per person seemed a bit steep at first but the shear variety and quality of the foods offered made this experience worth every penny. Fabulous food and ambiance, but horrible service – We planned a very special evening at XIX to celebrate a friend's accomplishment. We had difficulties with the coordinator who was difficult to reach and frequently confused the date of our party and the room that we had reserved. When the evening arrived, the first beverage did not arrive at our table until 1 hour and 15 minutes after we arrived. Ambiance A+, Food B, Service C+ It has potential – My favorite thing about XIX is the ambiance. This is a truly beautiful restaurant, sure to be one of Philadelphia's best (but not yet).
