The computers were not working when we arrived. My toddler was screaming in pain. We were the only people in the ER. We went to the back and were put in a room while my toddler with a 2nd degree burn on his hand was screaming at the top of his lungs. While waiting over ten to fifteen minutes for someone to come into the room we heard the RN directly outside of our room ask “Could he scream any louder? My god!” We were then given a tube of Motrin and told to administer it ourselves. As our screaming and fighting toddler proce... read more

My 4 year old has hypoplastic left heart syndrome and at home was running under arm temp of 103.8. We live 7 mins from women’s and children’s. We checked in and get into the triage area where they take his temp and says “oh it is only 99.9 so no fever.” You can feel him and he is hot to the touch and shaking!!! She takes his vitals and never once asked what new meds he is on or if anything changes since our last ER visit in oct 2018 when he sodium dropped. Gets us in the back er room and DR borne comes in (we had him once wh... read more

We were recently sent to women's and children's for jaundice, NEVER AGAIN! The first night while she was in the incubator we noticed that she was breathing very heavy and it didn't look normal so we called the nurse and took her out of the incubator (her skin was on fire!). It took the nurse 30 minutes to come to the room to check her temperature, now mind you she had been out of the incubator for 30 minutes and her temperature was 99. The nurse said there wasn't much she could do because the machines are set based on the ba... read more

One of the best hospital experiences I’ve ever had. My son broke his arm and needed surgery so we were offered options on where to be transferred so we chose here. I’m so glad we chose this place! Everything was top notch and they truly care about the patient. Thank you to all of our nurses and drs that took care of our boy. We are so thankful!

Saturday night (4/6/2019) at around 8:30 pm, we had to rush our five year old grandson to ER at Women's & Children's Hospital. His heart was racing extremely fast and beating hard, he was hyperventilating, had a headache, shaking and chills. My daughter dropped me off in the front of ER, I ran inside with him, and told the girl who was working the front desk the issues he was having telling her that he needed to be seen now! His heart was pumping so fast I felt that he might even be going into cardiac arrest. She looked at m... read more

Tonight I had the BEST experience in the kids ER that we’ve ever had! Everyone was so professional and so kind. Our nurse Shannon was awesome, unlike past experiences with other nurses he knew what he was doing and was professional. Dr. Gaspard was very nice and listened to my concerns. While my son had a CT done, the man doing the CT (can’t remember his name) talked to my 2 year old as if he was his own trying to help him calm down from being scared. I am so pleased with how our visit went! Thank you all for being so great ... read more
