Unprofessional is an understatement! I’m a shame to have UPMC has my health insurance. The way your staff treated that man in the video is unacceptable. And I’m sure other patients have been treated poorly. Investigations need to be done so the report can shed light on how your staff treats mental health Patients. I showed the video to my doctor who works for UPMC and she is disgusted in what she saw! Sad and shameful. From the time I walked in the door I felt comfortable. I was greeted with a smile. Everyone had a positive attitude and interacted with each other like a staff who really liked each other. The PA Lindsey Hyatt was very professional, knowledgeable and listened attentively. All Better Care will be my go to place when I need urgent care.
if it wasn’t for a particular doctor who doesn't rush with patients I’d boycott upmc for their terrible approach to patient care. I bet my provider gets in trouble for wait times because UPMC expects a patient encounter to take 30 minutes. There is terribly unrealistic time restrictions placed on UPMC providers. Maybe hire more practitioners?..... Customer serice people are great but terrible customer management. Getting someone to answer the phone is hard and purposefully cumbersome by the company.

I was seen at Magee to have a cyst surgically removed from my ovary. The staff was amazing! Everyone in pre-op was helpful and comforting during my lengthy wait (not anyone's fault, just a busy day with several emergency surgeries that took precedent). They did everything they could to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. The doctors, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals were all very informative and explained everything they were going to do before they did it. It really helped to calm my nerves.
