Although my vital signs did not reflect how terrible I felt or how much trouble I was having breathing...I was left in the waiting room for OVER 2 HOURS. The lack of compassion from the registration team was sickening. As a fellow ICU Nurse with 8 plus years of experience, this is extremely disappointing. Basic fundamentals of nursing is “ABCs (Airway, Breathing, and Circulation)” therefore if any of the ABCs are involved then it’s a PRIO... read more

My dad just had his ankle fused in Williamsport, PA. They sent him home the next day, 160 miles, immobile (his wife drove) with no way of getting into his 3rd story condo, on opiates with no discharge instructions on breathing exercises, spirometer or PNA. He had to sit on his butt on each step and scoot himself up to get into his home. Classic.
