Will not earn a personality contest, but he is an excellent surgeon and did excellent job with my trkr. Staff very helpful.
I almost cancelled my appt after reading review below but realized I most wanted a highly skilled surgeon, not a friend or counselor. Dr Hartley was knowledge-able, congenial, and no-nonsense, re-specting my time and his, explaining my options, and giving me the only pain free steroid shot of my life. To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. For a successful surgeon to recommend non-surgery fostered tremendous respect and trust. I am a woman-power woman, and I recommend him unreservedly.
Practical, realistic and encouraging consultation. Suggested non-surgical option, proving Dr H has the patient's best interest in mind. Spent just the right amount of time with me! Would highly recommend.
Great surgeon and wonderful staff. My left total knee replacement " 6 weeks ago " has already given me such relief and feels so much better than my right knee, can't wait to get it done next.
My 84 year old Mother was referred to Dr. Hartley for an evaluation of a fluid mass on her hip. Because she had hip surgery over 10 years ago Dr. Hartley refused to see her stating that he considered that a second opinion and he does not do second opinions. It was NOT a second opinion. We had seen no one about the mass on her hip. His name should be Dr. William Hartless if you ask me. I will be sure to tell the doctor who referred me to him about his attitude.
Very professional and caring .I am very pleased with my knee replacement.
Spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me! Told me I have Chronic hip bursitis and he doesn't do surgery for bursitis and doesn't recommend long term injections. No other options. Me: so I have to just live with the pain? Dr. Hartley: you've lived with it this long! I left feeling hopeless!

As soon as he came in the room I felt unimportant. He would not even order MRI too make sure there was nothing serious... He actually said that the PAIN I felt in my knee was not from my knee. Someone needs to train him in manners and too care about humans instead of making them feel stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he's not doing surgery he doesn't care..arthritis and a cortisone shot make him no money for his golfing habit. Not one kind word or encouragement were ever spoken..He didn't care about me. Comes in makes his money, plain & simple!!
