I also had a bad experience at Dr. Dodd's office and would advise others to stay away. Before my first visit I was in a lot of pain and the receptionist wouldn't schedule an appointment for me less than a month away. If I could've switched dentists then I would've, but with my insurance it takes several months to switch to a new primary care dentist. I love Dr. Dodd and his associates. Dr Dodd is an art and jazz lover and the office shows it. With a huge mural and poster of Myles David and other jazz greats. He plays jazz through out the office. You better be on time because if you are 15 minutes late you may be rescheduled. The hygenist that cleans my teeth gives me great advise on how flossing can boost you immune system. As a cancer survivor I don't let just anyone clean my teeth because I don't want any excessive bleeding.
Horrible horrible experience. I had no idea of what I as getting into. Facilities and staff were extremely poor and disorganized. Care was mediocre at best and the ambiance was atrociously unprofessional (with loud ghetto music literally shaking the walls). Don't let the Walnut Street address fool you. Be warned, find another dentist!
My experience in this dentist's office was not pleasant. I had to wait quite a while to be seen. The r&b music playing was very loud throughout the entire office. My overall time in there was just about 2 hrs -- just for a checkup. The facilities did not appear up to date --old-looking equipment, no sink by the chair I was in. I had to get up and walk over to a sink to spit and rinse. I was left rather wet after the cleaning, as the water from the ultrasonic scaler was seeping out onto my face, hair, and clothing.
