Chicago Steak at Its Best – I was seated at the grill bar to eat... it is a good thing that the food was outstanding, because the heat from the open grills was like standing in the desert under a mid-day sun! I also tried their breakfast buffet... don't bother, it is mediocre at best.
Just awful – I ordered Salmon medium rare. After they served it to me dried out, they informed me that they can't do salmon medium rare. I tried to order a cheeseburger, but they couldn't get that right either. For a place named after a BBQ grill, they should learn how to grill food! I'd rather eat at McDonald's than this place!
Good Food and Service – Finally decided to try Weber Grill after seeing it on-line and walking by many times while in Chicago on business. Ate at the bar and dined on a tremenous filet, good garlic mash potatoes and very good service from the two bartenders. Many games on the tv's and the crowd was fun. I will definitely be back to Weber Grill on my return to Chicago.
good food, bad management – I went for dinner, and I went for the BBQ sampler -- sausage, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, and ribs. Boy was that a lot of food for only $11.95! The ribs were a little chewy and fatty, the sausage was bland, the chicken was just OK, but the pork was really quite good. Of course, I was surprised to see $17.95 for my meal on the bill. WONDERFUL! – Don't believe the terrible reviews on here.... they are obviously from the whiny types that probably NEVER have a good thing to say. WEBER GRILL IS comfort food at its finest. My entire family loved each and ever bite. From the burgers to the steaks, the meatloaf to the cheesecake.... it was all good to the last bite! I WILL go back.
Stay away – I have four words that describe the Weber Grill, bad service/bad food. Our waiter ignored us and the food was less impressive than a trip to Ponderossa. this has got to be one of the most overrated steak houses I've eaten at.
great steak for the dollar – I've been to Weber Grill three times now. Each time, my steak was done perfectly. The pita bread and spread they give at the beginning are delicious. I've also tried there burger which is delicious if you can finish it. It is one of the less expensive steak houses in Chicago. I recommende it.
Weber... Stick to the grills! – My wife and I ate there a while back expecting real good things. Service on this day was OK, nothing spectacular. But we were stunned that such a name as Weber could offer up such atrocious steaks as we had. It was like eating the bottom of a tennis shoe almost, just tough and kind of dry, and I can get that myself at many an outdoor BBQ without having to pay the high price. We love our Weber Genesis but will not be back to the restaurant. Better food elsewhere for sure.
cpidon – Weber Grill offers nothing more than I can cook up on my grill at home and charges ridiculous prices for it. They jam you into an uncomfortably tight situation and their service shows because of it. Cocktails are expensive and on the "small" size. Buy a good barbeque cook book, some quality steaks, a six pack and enjoy the same at home.
