Excellent food but long wait.. – The Weber Grill is a different kind of place to eat. large kettle Weber Grills are used to cook the food. The food is fantastic, the bartender is very fast and always seems to see when you are ready for another round. Seating inside takes longer to get than the outside patio, which I don't understand, the outside has a nicer appeal to it. The Pork Chops are excellent and the Ribeye steaks are so flavorful, my mouth is watering now thinking of it. I will go back for sure !
Great chicken – I fell in love with their beer can chicken, that is the only thing I get there now. It's so moist and flavorful it's insane!
Good...but...well...??? – Where else in Chicago can you see live actual grilling being done indoors? This place has that warm atmosphere feeling all over the place, almost too warm if you ask me (and I'm not just talking about the massive grill kettles either). Warm and inviting atmosphere. Anything off of the grill is great. Very friendly wait staff. – If you're looking for great grilled food in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, this is the place. The BBQ ribs and chicken are delicious, and wait until you taste the desserts!
There are much better places – This Weber Grill is a dump compared to the one in the burbs. Eating at this location is like going to Portillos, which is cool if I want a hot-dog. When I want a good steak or prime rib I want better service, and a cleaner, more enjoyable atmosphere. This place might work for lunch, but for a steak dinner visit Lowry's, Kinzie, or other.
Don't believe the Hype – Yet another chicago favorite that I just don't understand. The food is simply average and it is certainly not the barbeque flavor I am accustomed to. Most men like the spot because anything done over an open falme is a winner in their book, (even if it was fresh from under a tire). I had the beef brisket and BBQ chicken combo. BBQ Heaven – The 4 of us went to Weber Grill for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You don't leave hungry from Weber's. The burger was thick hot and juicy, BBQ chicken was excellent, tender and grilled perfectly. The beef brisket and ribs were also grilled to perfection. 1 out of 4 of us liked the cole slaw that came with the meal and the cornbread was a bit overbaked and dry. Always consistently GOOD – Been going for a few years now and have tried most items on the menu. One of the best Rib-eye steaks I have ever had, great 10 oz. burger, great salads-especially the chopped. I love the beer can chicken and even the pork chops are good. Friendly service. Restaurant continues to get better with each vist.
Surprisingly Very Good – I had read the reviews on here before I went and actually didn't go here the first trip to Chicago because of some of the reviews. Put it this way, I was wrong the first time and the 9.1 rating is correct. Are there going to be bad times, sure, hence it is not a 10, but as far as downtown eating goes, 9.1 is really good.
