Well, here we go again. 5 years ago, I could not use my Left Shoulder due to severe arthritis. The Doc explained the issues and we decided on the replacement that would fit my active lifestyle. Very thorough and personable. Highly recommend dr Burkhead
Dr. Burkhead recently, successfully operated on my left shoulder. I would not go have gone to any other surgeon in Dallas. Dr. Burkhead also successfully operated on my right shoulder almost 20 years ago.
Dr. Burkhead came highly recommended and he did not disappoint! He was very kind and caring and explained everything that was wrong with my shoulder and what he would do to repair it. Surgery went well and follow up care and visits were great. His PA was also great.
Dr. Burkhead repaired my right shoulder in February 2019. The aftercare was always tremendous and it's now as good as new. Can't beat Dr. Buz and all the docs at Carrell Clinic!!
Went in expecting to get a shoulder injection, but before the procedure, I told Dr. Burkhead, that my real concern was my knee--could hardly walk and it was very swollen. If the shoulder is not bothering you that much, and it wasn't, lets fix the knee, he suggested. Drained 30cc of fluid and added an anti inflammatory drug, and my knee feels better than it has in months. I'm so thankful Dr. B was pro-active in his suggestion!

By the time I made my appointment with Dr. Wayne Burkhead I was in excruciating pain in both shoulders. Dr. Burkhead replaced both shoulders. It’s now been one year since my right shoulder replacement and seven months for my left shoulder. I am still doing physical therapy at home and I am happy to report that I am pain free.
