My Family booked a home from this company in Tennessee for a June Family reunion. With all that is going on in the world, sadly, we felt compelled to cancel our reunion. I am currently ( started 4 days ago) trying to cancel our stay at a TN home 3/28/20 and we are from MI. We are in a pandemic and MI as of this morning is the 5th worse state for number of Covid-19 patients and climbing. We have been told not to travel. In March 2019, I booked a condo in Maui for Sept 2019. Maui Rental Group/Vtrips cancelled our stay literally the day upon our arrival. We, including one pregnant woman, walked into the condo to the beds flipped over & it seemed to look like a robbery took place. After many attempted calls, we find out that the condo was infested with bedbugs & the company said there was nothing they could do for us, except cancel & provide a refund. Ms. C*** booked Maui Banyan *****on 3/8/19 for the dates of 9/22/2019-9/27/19. A contract was sent and signed on 7/24/19. When the guest checked in the unit it was not ready to be occupied and unfortunately due to a pest issue in the unit a full refund was offered to the guest. This guest originally filed a chargeback in the amount of $1,060.34 on October 4, 2019. The card holder is claiming that they did not receive the services or goods that they paid for. Booked a Vacation Rental Pros property through Hotels.com. After booking, we were charged double the listed rate for "mandatory fees." Also Vacation Rental Pros sent us an email saying our credit card was declined, but used a different (unrecognized number). This was a scam looking for even more money! Beware. Fortunately, Hotels.com was able to refund us.

As a courtesy, we allowed our guests who were impacted by Hurricane Dorian, to move their dates and travel within the next 365 days even if they did not have travelers insurance. Ms. ******* chose to move the dates arriving 9/6/2019 and departing on 9/9/2019. This change was done 8/27/2019. Our sincerest apologies for the unfortunate circumstances surrounding our guests vacation. Shortly before arrival, we were notified of flooding in their original unit and it was not habitable for their stay. At that time, we sent them the only move option that was available during their dates. With circumstances like these, if the guest does not like the option provided, we are always willing to refund their money. Despite being relocated, we hope that our guests enjoyed their time in Maui.
I’m not one to be negative, but if I can help another family avoid the chaos we experienced this week it is worth it. I tried to work with the company and allow them the ability to make things right before I posted anything to social media but they refuse. Booked a vacation for my family in Ponte Vedra Florida through vacation rental pros (vtrips). It has been the worst vacation my family has ever had. I will NEVER book through Vtrips again.... EVER!!
