Looking cute as a button! – My friend referred me to Walters for grooming. My scottie can be a pain (she hates having her nails done) but she came home happy and looking cute as a button! I'm going to try the daycare service next week and will report back...
Walter and his groomers know and love their customers, and are obviously skilled enough to work with any kitty personality. Walter said he would "ease" Oscar into the process of getting a lion-cut, so he wouldn't be scared of his first time. Upon calling Walter's, they had fantastic phone-side manners, were courteous, informative and genuinely interested in helping out with my predicament. We made an appointment for that very next morning. I arrived with my nervous kitty in tow just as Walter; the owner; was walking in. I found Walter's Pet Styles via Internet search and I can't be more pleased with their services. Five Stars! Outstanding! The phone was answered by a polite, friendly and helpful rep. I brought kitty in at 10:30am, spoke briefly to the groomer (a sweet gentleman named Leatre), showed him a couple of photos on my mobile phone of what kitty needed to look like and offered brief instructions (no lion cut!!! careful not to shave off her whiskers!!!). I have a seven month old puppy who runs up 33rd street in order to get to Walter's. She absolutely loves going to day care and drags me inside. Usually, she has some anxiety when I leave her, but never at Walter's. She runs up to the day care attendants and can't wait for me to leave! She has obviously bonded with all of the staff there, and I wouldn't trust leaving her with anyone else. I LOVE Walters! My dog goes everday (Wilbur) and we are always greeted warmly, and my dog can't wait to go in the morning. He gets up and stands by the door! It always smells so nice when you walk in, and the staff is so accomodating.I feel very safe and secure when I leave my dog there every day, i know he is only playing and having a great time.
cleanliness and accommodating in every way – This is our 2nd doggie day care we have used. Walter's has been everything with great friendly PERSONAL staff, cleanliness and accommodating in every way. There is no better service and our dog loves it at walters.
left my dog with a shiny coat and smelling amazing – The young lady who helped me out with was extremely helpful and you can tell she was a dog person which made me leaving my dog here for the first time very comforting. Not interested in your pet, only your $$$ – These people are only interested in taking your money and do not care at all about your dog. PLEASE TAKE YOUR POOCH SOMEWHERE ELSE! My dog, Charlie had been going to Walter's daycare for about 3 weeks when I received a phone call from a panicked young girl who informed me that my 4 month old puppy had been "playing with all the other dogs about an hour ago when one of the staff members heard a yelp and discovered Charlie had been casually nipped by another dog". We called Emily immediately. She chose to not take dog to vet on her lunch break. She agreed with our "All Dogs Play At Their Own Risk" policy before signing up with us. We can't stress the risks enough! She didn't care for the wound for 7 days, as suggested to us by her vet. This made it worse. Dogs are dogs. They play hard. We have every system in place to mitigate damage, but if you want a dog that doesn't get hurt, ever, invest in a bubble.
