Best. Grooming. Ever!!! – Thank God we found Walter. Worth EVERY penny. We lost track of him for over a year but thankfully we've found him once again. My dog is difficult, to say the least, and I found that Walter is the ONLY groomer who can deal with him. The entire staff at Walter's is so helpful and laid-back. Let's hope they stick around! Thank god! – I am so happy to have found a daycare that loves my dog and gives him the BEST grooming ever! Strongly reccomend even if your dog is shy like mine..after a couple of daycare visits he stopped his strange barking at other dogs and was more socialized...definatley reccomend!!!
Careless, Sloppy and Over-Priced: Take Your Dog Elsewhere – I took my dog to Walter's several times. Each cut was worse than the last. Don't bother asking for a "trim" - they just do whatever they want, and they left my dog with a horrible, uneven cut that was WAY too short. Plus, they are stupidly expensive. This time, I took my dog around the corner to PetCo - they were less than half the price of Walter's, and the grooming is far superior. I would not recommend Walter's to anybody.
If you want your dog to be happy and loved... – My dog is truly the youngest member of my family, so when I moved to NY about a year ago, I searched EVERYWHERE for a place where I felt comfortable leaving her. I came across Walter's while walking by and loved the warmth of the staff. They are not, at all, a "chain" and they don't come across as a "business"; you feel you are leaving your dog with friends. Murray Hill Gem – My dog attends Walter's daycare every day, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They must be doing something right because my little one LOVES when we turn the corner and see the sign for Walter's. She's a HUGE fan and so am I. If she's happy, I'm happy. Friendly, loving, caring – I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Walter's. Their day care and boarding services were used during a business stop in Manhattan , on the way back from Maine to our home in NC. Randy, my standard Poodle, received love and attention while there. He exhibited no anxiety or nervousness upon his pick up. Walter's has been referred to many who are traveling with their "children" to Manhattan. I anticipate using their services again and again.
Unparalleled grooming! – From the moment I stepped into Walter's Pet Styles, I knew it would be different from the other groomers I've been to. I was greeted with enthusiasm by the desk attendant who was VERY helpful and attentive to all of my (and my puppy's) needs. Terrible Grooming. I'll Never Take My Dog There Again – Walter's Pet Styles is the "Supercuts" of dog groomers. They don't listen to instructions, their cuts are choppy and uneven, and Walter himself doesn't give a damn if you are unhappy with their service. You pay a real premium price for their lousy grooming, too. After several poor cuts in a row, where my very specific instructions were completely disregarded by the groomer, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The best! – We love Walter's! We use them for daycare and grooming and have only had the best experiences. Walter is a fantastic groomer and our dog always comes out looking beautiful and well groomed. He always listens to our directions and you can tell how thorough and gentle he is. The daycare is wonderful, she loves the staff and can't wait to go every morning. I would highly recommend Walter's to anyone looking for a safe, clean and friendly place for their dog!
