Good Lookin' Puppy Dogs! – A friend recommended Walter's to me after a bad experience at another groomers (I won't mention the name here . . .) First of all, the groomer, Walter, is so nice and sophisticated - a no nonsense type of guy who knows what he is doing. Walter's Pets Styles gave my dog the worst haircut possible! I took my toy poodle in for a summer haircut. Admittedly, he was a bit matted and overgrown, but I gave the stylist very specific instructions in terms of what I wanted and what would look good on him. Not only did they not listen to a word I said, as my dog came out completely shaven, but the owner of this horrendous establishment proceeded to YELL at me after I expressed my displeasure with the finished product. This dog was one of the worst cases of matting we have ever seen here. "A bit matted" is simply sugar-coating. To spend hours de-matting a coat of this nature would be animal cruelty, plain and simple, and we will not do it. We made a courtesy call to the owner of the dog to inform that the dog will need shaving and we were given the OK. If the client had told us no, we would have done nothing more. We did not shave out of laziness-- we shaved out of necessity and the well-being of the animal. We tried to educate her about w... read more
Terrible dog grooming – After reading the many positive reviews here, I took my dog in to get groomed, and they did a very poor job. It took too long and my dog looked awful. I will avoid this place in the future.
Great grooming, excellent service – Walter is a great groomer. We brought our 2 teacup yorkies to him after having a previous bad experience with another groomer in the city. Our dogs were weary when they got there (the poor staff member that greeted us got sprinkled on by one of them, but he was really nice about it), but when they were done, our dogs were happy and they looked great! Walter came out to greet us and he was very nice. The dogs liked him too! We can finally relax now that we know our dogs are in good hands.
