In 1921 Bruce and Bob Walters opened a bicycle shop which in 1922 became a Harley Davidson dealer. In 1931 Bruce and his wife Gladys Walters moved from Galesburg to Peoria and they purchased Harley Davidson Sales and Service. In 1949 Bruce built a new store that was known as one of the most modern in Illinois at the time. I bought a bike from Walter brothers and I had nothing but a good experience from them. Although I can’t ride anymore (stroke made me legally blind so I can no longer ride or drive a car and Lord knows I miss riding dearly I have nothing but good to say about them we are very fortunate here in Peoria we have a national TT track that is just awesome I love going to the races out there and I have been going to the races since I was a kid and I’m 64 years old now We also have Walter brothers our own Harley Davidson dealer that’... read more
