Walgreens, are you aware that this happened at your store? Very sad to see a Veteran and his Service Dog mistreated this way by Walgreens staff. I feel you owe him a formal apology. Per Rebecca Goodson (you can go to her facebook page to see post and video)... So I caught part of my husbands altercation with the manager at Walgreens at Kearney and Galloway in mesquite, tx. As we walked in the manager and another employee told us to get the dog out. Ben is my husbands service dog prescribed to him by the va. Cris told them it... read more
Never again spend one dime at a Walgreens..... Shame on this guy.
Regarding the Veteran, the "service dog," and the Manager: even with PTSD the Veteran should have had some documentation to show the dog as a legitimate Service Animal. Especially if there is a local ordinance and/or law to the effect. Seems to me the Veteran was looking for a confrontation. Granted, the Store Manager *MAY* own some of this (I was not there as most of us were not), but it is unfair to say this is Walgreen's "fault." Just saying -- as one Veteran (Desert Storm, Somalia, and Iraqi Freedom) to another. [N.B., I... read more
You have the worst customer service ever!!! You need to educate your pharmacy staff that they are pharmacist and should have customer service skills when dealing with people and not Robo Cops. Generally when a person is going to a "pharmacy", is because they are sick and to further harassed is uncalled for. You have definitely lost my business! After seeing the video of the Vet with his "prescribed", service dog just shows I'm not the only one that has experienced your low rent way of treating people... I can totally underst... read more
I Think It's Time for Walgreens to make a Public Apology.
Denying a disabled veteran his right to have his service companion with him? SHAME on that manager! That man fought for our freedom and is suffering everyday because of it. I will not be shopping Walgreens and have shared this story with my friends as well.
I know I will never darken the door of another WALGREENS! EVER !
I have been a faithful customer of Walgreens for many many years. I am also the wife of a Marine and have many relatives that are veterans. I hope and pray this manager is dealt with and taught a little compassion for our veterans (who fought for his freedom to be a manager in a nice air conditioned store). Until I find out that this situation is resolved, my family and I will no longer step foot in a Walgreens. I will have my prescriptions transferred to the CVS that is located next door.
I live in Maryland and I will no longer be a patron at our local Walgreens due to the actions or your management to a veteran and his service dog. disheartening to see the lack of respect and professionalism. as a person who is a fellow American and who works in retail this dushbag manager is luck he isn't one of my associates cause he would of been terminated on the spot and then I would have turned the veteran and his wife and give them the name of a good lawyer!!! -your ex-regular customer
