Some of the funkiest folks in town do all of their gift and holiday shopping at Wacko, also known as Soap Plant. One of the most notorious and eclectic shops in Los Angeles, it's a sure bet that you'll find things that you never knew existed. From Sumo wrestler lunch boxes to patchouli soaps and kiss "Psycho Circus" dolls, expect the unexpected. It's the perfect place if you want to take home a little bit of Hollywood hipster heaven.

a must see! everytime i have guest in town i always take them to wacko. it is simply a must see. almost everything in the store is nonfunctional novelty mech and tons of fun! i wouldn't go there to just pick up a copy of huck finn, but if you want a coffee table book about sleeze paperbacks of the 50's and 60's this is you bookstore. aside from books, there are large selections of candy, toys, stationary, bags, shower curtains, tshirts, knick knacks, and tons of other stuff i'm probably forgetting. there is also an art galle... read more
RecommendedAlways fun shopping at Wacko! Their bath and body products are the best! I hope they don’t discontinue all of the products. They already stopped carrying the massage lotion and I just found out there will no longer carry the shea butter body wash. Bummed but hope they’ll have new products that are equal in moisturizing. They’re doing a great job of keeping their store and shoppers safe during the pandemic. Thank you! We’ll keep coming back!

I cannot believe the horrible experience I had at Soap Plant Wacko on Fathers Day. So I'm walking in they do they usual go through the back, put hand sanitizer and go buy stuff. That was fine. They carry the best of the best! Only place in town to get your Echo Park Ducks T shirts. Thank You Shire Family for the joy u have given mine.
