Dr. Elieff was my physician for many years until I moved out of state. He performed my cataract surgeries very successfully. He’s a doctor that I trust. I have never had an issue at any of his locations. Wish I could have brought him to Virginia with me. I have recommended him to everyone I know in that area. My current eye doctors have commended the work he has performed on my eyes.
Patient is handled by ignorant assistants. They make most of the eye exams, including the reading the eye prescription. Dr. Ku then sees the patient see what notes given by the assistant, checks the eye pressure and explain the findings. What happened is that 2 visits and twice the prescription was wrong. I have to go to another clinic to recheck everything. In short, his explaining the case to the patient Doesn’t mean he does his job. All doctors explain the case to the patients.
I went to so called experts for years. I went to see Dr. Ku who did something very unusual with my eyes and he fixed the issue. I could care less about personality, Dr Ku solved something that 20 experts couldnt in a year.
I saw Dr. Ku as a new patient (a recommendation from a good friend) I filled out pages and pages of not particularly pertinent information--very heavy on heritage. After close to two hours n the waiting room, a technician did all the examination. More waiting in another area. When Dr. Ku finally graced me with his presence, he was abrupt and abrasive, never looking at me. I finally said, 'Look at me and say again. Then the prima donna in Dr. Ku flew forward! Dr. Elieff has been wonderful with my mom and is one of the sweetest physicians I’ve ever met. I take my mom in for her visits and when she had cataract and glaucoma surgery. At each appointment and/ or procedure he explains everything thoroughly that is going on to her and myself and never acts rushed or put out by any questions. My mom adores him and I recommend him to anyone that needs an ophthalmologist.
Very bad experience with appointments. You have to wait T least an hour. I will not recommend this doctor. They always over book appointments.
He may seem uncaring or condescending to some, but he was incredibly blunt and direct with me at a time that I needed it. My general practitioner sent me to Dr. Wu to have my eyes checked because I had gone from pre-diabetic to full diabetic. After testing, which showed my retinas were fine Dr Wu looked at my chart again and very bluntly said, 'Why don't you just loose weight?' My visit was a disappointment. . Dr Ku was dismissive explaining test results on a serious eye disease. Not his problem and referred me back to my retina doctor. I will not return.
