I don't go for "fine dining" I go for the best Vinnie Pie – I was introduced to Vincent's Pizza when I was just a little girl around 9yrs old. I would fight my older brothers for the pizza! The size was enormous to me! I had never been to any place like this before. From the outside the curb appeal is well NOT GOOD...when you get inside you don't know what to expect. I come from Beaver county where everything on the main street is for the prissy people and we have the best of the best! We have lines of people dying to get a ... read more
What a let down,,,really terrible, – My husband and I were taking my 8 year old grandaughter home last Sunday and thought we would stop and treat her to some Vincent's Pizza. We stopped at the Forest Hills restaurant. We ate Vincents before, but not at this location in years. The first impression getting out of your car--is the fear of falling because the outside entrance is in bad shape. We ordered a large pizza with mushrooms. When it arrived--I had to pick the food off my fork from the previous customers..(yum). The pizza... read more
When it's good it's fantastic, when it's bad it's horrible! – I've been going to Vincents since 1976 and my parents went there when they were dating. I usually go to the Plum Boro location (up on the hill behind Burger King) however I prefer the Forest Hills location. I still remember Vince covered with flour tossing pies in the air with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Forest Hills location used to have an hour or more wait Friday and Saturday nights but you waited because it was the best pizza you could find anywhere.... read more
Pizza at Vincents – I went to this place thinking will have a good pizza. But my expectations were all gone downhill. I ordered for a 6" pizza. What I got was a pizza pie with very salty toppings. Saltier than any of the other places I have ever had. In addition to that, the base of the pizza was soaked in water. I never had such a terrible pizza in my life. Staff service was also not good.I will never go back there. Its just a waste of money.
Still the Shi# – Visiting for X-mas, when you cannot get this anywhere elese makes it that much better. Best anywhere.
Really gone downhill...it's a shame! – I grew up in Wilkinsburg and have been eating at Vincent's for >25 years --- less recently as I've become a "little" more health conscious. Anyway, as some of the posts have indicated, since Vince has moved into retirement the quality (all the reviews about HUGE portions, etc. normally date from several years ago) of the pie has steadily declined. Toppings are still the same great tasting stuff of years gone by, but what is applied is much more sparse, more like a Domino's pizza. Also, ... read more
rude – I always go to the Vincen'ts in Plum - very friends, great pie. Grew up with the Vincen'ts in Forest Hills. I haven't been there in years and probably will never go back there again after my experience their yesterday. Called to order a pie, got this horrible miserable man. From some of the other reviews on here, I think this must be the owner - what a miserable individual. I will never go back their again. p.s. must say the pie was very good!
Pizza Gone Wrong – what will you get , raw dough , burnt dough .you do not know. it cost a lot of dough, to find out. I QUIT !!!!!!!!!
GREAT PIZZA - Try the Green Pepper, Onion and Mushroom! – The photo for Vincent's does not do the place any justice as the building has been painted and does not look that badly. There was only one waitress in the dining area, but an off-duty cheery employee decided to help out since she was there to watch the game. The pizza is excellent! Period. We went to eat great pizza and that's exactly what we got! Great pizza and not so bad service for only one waitress on duty. If you want to experience an awesome pizza, by all mean... read more
