RecommendedOrdered Onam sadhya and enjoyed the meal. Extremely delicious food which tasted like Homely food. The flavours are very nice, no extra masalas which I loved to the core.
This place is the real deal. One of my favorite places to eat in the entire city. Even if you're not familiar with Indian food or may not have had much exposure to it, come try some of the menu options - everything is really good. I am always pleasantly surprised at how healthy and delicious the food is here. This place is truly a hidden gem.
Y’all. That eggplant peanut coconut curry is as rich as you can imagine. It is THICK GRAVY and happens to be vegan to boot. Please support Vimala’s during this time. She held our babies when they were tiny so my husband and I in early days deep in babydom could have a precious moment to eat for ourselves. She and all the workers in her restaurant are good people ❤️

Vimala’s very generously treated Orange County EMS and Carrboro Fire Dept responders to a free meal. The food was delicious. It was very much appreciated. I will be stopping by to say thank you and for a meal when this is all over.
Delicious, nutritious and cooked with love. Vimala shows compassion for people who work for her, her beloved vendors, and customers and delivers amazing food. She and her restaurant are a gift.
Professional friendly staff and delicious wonderful food
Vimala and the staff are warm and kind people. There is a Godly Presence that is the standard for the atmosphere and it is felt... Vimala’s heart of love emanates within the atmosphere and within the food and this is what I believe draws the many people in... The food is amazing. This restaurant is now my new favorite Indian restaurant.
Vimela couldn't be more friendly and she serves the best Indian cuisine in North Carolina!
