Happy Long Time Customer – I have been getting my hair cut at Village La Salon by Mari for as long as the place has been open - about 10 years! Mari manages to make my hair cut look fresh and different every time I see her. Once in a while I will opt for highlights as well and find her to be one of the best colorists I'v ever been to. When I really feel like pampering myself I will also book apointments for a pedicure and massage in addition to my haircut and come out feeling soooo good. Definitely a good experience.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SALON – I highly recomend this salon!! I decided to take my mother on mother's day to show my appreciation. I found Village Salon and the host was so generous i called her to make a reservation and she set every thing up for my mother we both got facial and wonderful massages and seaweed wraps it was the best time we've had in a very long time!! They even had a variety of resteraunts that we could order from and had luch there!! It was very nice!! I highly recomend this salon!! **** (4 stars)
RUDE STAFF!!! – I'm new to Houston And I found this salon in city searh.I wanted to give a try and called to make an appointment.The staff with thick accent was SOOOOOOOOOO RUDE!!!!!!!! I cound NOT believe how RUDE SHE was!!I dont recommend!!!!!
Worst service ever, bad haircut, overcharged – We found this salon on citysearch and gave it a try, ignoring the negative reviews. That was our first mistake. What a terrible experience. First, I was given the worst haircut I've ever had. Despite the concerns I expressed about the length the stylist was cutting, she scolded me and then cut the bangs three inches shorter than I requested. Also, the salon is outdated and somewhat dingy. A welcome change... – I was browsing through citysearch, and I found this place. It is close to where I live and I thought I would give it a try. It was easy to make an appointment. I was able to get an appointment the same day that I called. When I walked in the salon, I was surprised at how relaxing it felt. It was quiet because there weren't a lot of people (unlike the conveyor belt-like feeling you get in mall salons). Mari, the person who cut my hair, is nice and warm. Wonderful results – I was doing locks for love and had a lot of hair to cut. She did a fabulous job cutting off all 11 inches, styling to a totally new look and giving me some color. I said I wanted natural subtle highlights, and I got just that. She really listened to what I said, and gave me pointers for future hair care. A great experience that is a lot cheaper than most places in the village.
Not Happy – I am gone get married this summer so I was shoping for a good hairdresser and lets say I was not impressed my hair was okay I was charged to much and the salon is dark and the decor needs help I feel I could of gone to TGIf and got better service I was not happy.
Highly Recommend! – I've been going to Mari for cut and color for the past 7 years and she is wonderful. She's an excellent hairstylist, but also an incredible person. She always knows just what to do with my hair and I have never been disappointed with the results. I would highly recommend her and Village La Salon.
Not so hot – Haircut Ok, but massage was definitely lacking, but I needed to redeem my certificate.
