Incompetence - Poor Rating with the Better Business Bureau Viking Fuel Oil made a delivery error to my residence. The two options they offered me were to pay for oil they delivered in error or pay for it's pickup. They wanted me to be financially responsible for their mistake. They have a poor rating with the Better Business Bureau. Avoid Viking Fuel Oil. New Entry (02/01/2009) - They did it again! - Once again Viking has delivered to my residence by mistake and AGAIN tried to get me to pay for their mistake. STAY AWAY!
Unsatisfactory Service I would not recommend Viking Oil to anyone! We were on automatic fill-up and they allowed the tank to empty on two separate occasions. The first time we were living in the home with our infant daughter and had to wait five hours for them to come and refill it. The second time we were not living in the home - we had it on the market to be sold - and we returned to the home one weekend to find icicles hanging on the faucets and snow in the fireplace. Poor Service and Communication Viking agreed upon delivery date... with a no call, no show. Admittedly, I should have checked to make sure they filled the tank as promised. Now, I just ran outta oil and it's 20 degrees... and I smell like diesel and feel like a fool for having believed they'd live up to their commitment. This is the SECOND time they didn't deliver as committed. I couldn't recommend Viking less right now.
Watch Out!!! When I canceled Viking this fall I got about 5 calls from the owner schmoozing me to convince me to come back. I had signed a contract with another company at this point though. Viking obviously knew I had canceled but decided to come and fill my tank anyway. The new company unknowingly came to fill the tank and we ended up with oil in the basement. I called Viking to find out why they delivered. I was told that I was in the computer as a âwill call basisâ and ânot automatic deliveryâ, so they should not... read more

Shameful Awful, the owner is a slimeball, was actually waiting at my new house when I got home from the closing, has some kind of illicit connection with the town hall folks because my lawyer had not even been to the office to file paperwork yet. Made all these promises about locked in prices then changed his tune mid season and charged me going rate when the prices went up. Unfair-Do Not Trust! BAD-Ordered 100 gallons of fuel oil, Viking topped off tank on multiple occasions. Called with concern about billing and was told by the owner not to worry and to pay in installments as I have for many years. Again mid-April, before my account was zeroed out, Viking filled tank. I called the demand No More Deliveries. Was sent to legal dept. and badgered about money owed. I confirmed I'd continue to pay installments and never had issues before.
