My first visit with Dr. Subbarao was the result of an episode with A-Fib that needed to be diagnosed further. This episode was a shock to me as I had never experienced anything like it. I had to go to the ER and spent a night at Rose Hospital. Dr. Subbarao explained everything that happened to me in “layman terms”. Finding a highly qualified, professional cardiologist is sometimes daunting. Dr Subbarao meets that criteria many times over. I have had the benefit of his care, patience, and meaningful consultation for several years; have been very satisfied with this doctor and would recommend him without reservation!
I would not recommend Dr. Vijay Subbarao, MD. I met with him. He took 2 calls on his cell phone during my appointment. I need a doctor who focuses on me and nobody else. If it were an emergency, and interrupted by a nurse, then that's okay but Dr. Vijay Subbarao, MD, but your phone away when meeting with a new patient. Also, make sure to check your patient bill - it doesn't add up. This is my first review and I hope you put your phone down for the next patient
Been seeing Dr. Subbarao for 8 years. Generally a very good experience until this week. He recommended I get some lab work done. I asked them to send the prescription to Quest across the street. I called earlier this week and they confirmed it would be done. So after fasting all morning, when I arrived for my blood test, no paperwork. The lady at Quest called and they said they would "try" to send it. I walked across the street and they hadn't done it yet, nor could they hand me the paper.
been with Vijay for many years and his service has been caring and supportive. The practice is going through some changes, and I would have crossed town to stay in his practice.
Dr. Subbarao has always listened to my concerns and has given what I believer to be good advice. He has excellent diagnostic skills and keeps up with current ideas without agreeing with every new technique.
