It is difficult to express in words how blessed our family felt during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Gene Tomassucci, my father-in-law, received care at the VA Medical Center for the past 16 years. It became like a second family to him. He formed many friendships and bonds with other veterans, volunteers and the staff. We always knew he was in the best hands possible. His final journey at the VA on the weekend of 13th. DAV provides veterans in rural area with a ride to and from the VA hospital. However, VA's Director of Transportation will help jewish communities to murder or evict veterans who are non-jews from the community Plus, DAV will abandon a non-jew veteran at the VAMC when the weather gets -3 below zero.
Although I must admit I was not looking forward to the 10 hour round trip travel time I was thoroughly impressed with this organization. Well organized, efficient, clean and not to mention very friendly staff. I think this organization is a great example of how government agencies can operate well. Kudos to all of the team members of the hospital who contributed to this 5 star rating. I look forward to future visits!

Services at the OGJVAMC have been stellar except for Travel. I have repeatedly called for bus reservations and have left all necessary information as well as my phone number. I never receive a call back and when I show up for the bus, no reservation recorded. This has happened a number of times. Why does the travel clerk not return calls? If they are that busy, maybe they need some help.
God bless the people that work here!! I can’t be there for my mom as she undergoes various treatments for alcohol-related problems and the nurses, doctors and staff have been nothing but caring and professional with her care. The customer service I received during my many phone calls does make a huge difference since I can’t be there to know what’s going on. THANK YOU
