The personnel who work here are awesome! All of the bad ratings that I read about other VA facilities do not pertain to this one. Where else do people go where the nurses and doctors call to find out how a patient is doing. We are truly blessed to have this VA Hospital in the U.P.
My husband was there for nearly a month and could not have asked for better treatment than what he had there. Everyone was so nice and paying so much attention to all they could do to help get him on his feet and get his back the best they could for him.

The Iron Mountain VA was wonderful to my dad. He was very comfortable and appreciated all the doctors and nurses who took care of him. Erich Schwanke Sr. Was my dad, and although his cancer took him, I know he would rate it five stars. Thank you Iron Mountain VA for being there for my dad!!!

Had a sleep study done there on Thursday night, was made totally comfortable. Very good experience!
Recently I was treated in both our local civilian hospital and the VA Hospital. In comparison the VA was tops and the kindness and professionalism of the Dr.'s Nurses, even down to the maintenance people and the janitorial people, You are all a bright light in the medical profession and nobody can hold a candle to you. I took a recent survey which asked many questions about my care. A Shout Out Thank You for all that called, emailed or private messaged me on my recent diagnoses of a aortic stomach aneurism. I visited Oscar G Johnson VA Hospital in Iron Mountain Michigan yesterday for testing. Wishing and praying tests turn out positive for now. I could not have gone to a better facility, Private or otherwise! They are a caring Bunch and show deep respect to all our Vets.
