Great for groups – Went here for an after-party. It's pretty hidden, but you must go here. The atmosphere is amazing. Love the decor. It's funky, crazy and charming really. Go with a group, have drinks & it'll be a good night. Just regular Mexican food, nothing too special, the prices are just right!
Very Exciting Place! – Went here to celebrate a friends birthday. They had very tasty drinks wonderful food! The waiter was a little slow, but it was also a Saturday night. I would make sure if you wanted to go here you make a reservation and getting ready for a loud exciting dinner!
great set priced meals – On Cahuenga, this is my go-to spot whenever I wanted something reasonably priced. With a set price, it's never an issue with dining partners (unless of course they drink like fish and don't eat real food). I love the complimentary 3 dips and chips. There are two bars. The main bar is gorgeous. The outside patio is for the smokers. In general the decor is beautiful and if you're into the Day of the Dead, you need to check it out.
Velvet Margarita Rocks! – I finally decided to try this place after seeing all these great reviews. Came with a few girlfriends and we all had a blast. The free chips & salsa were amazing, they have so many different types of margaitas to try (all were very good) and the food was so tasty. After our meal we decided to hang out by the bar and had ourselves a great night. I'll be coming back to Velvet Margarita!
All around fun – Great for late dinner and drinks. Always a great option for the bar hopping in the area.
I’ve never seen anything like this before – This place is truly unique, even for Hollywood. I’ve never seen anything like it before. The Velvet Elvis paintings & the Elvis movies in Spanish were a nice touch! I’m majoring in Latin Studies & appreciate the authenticity. Great place for a birthday – My friends took me to the Velvet Margarita for my 21st birthday last weekend. What a great place for a party! The staff was very accommodating, from the Host, who made sure our large group was well taken care of, to our Server, who was attentive to a fault, and the Bartenders, who made us stiff drinks all night long! Loved this place! – Came to visit friends in L.A. and they took me here. Wow -- this place was amazing! Décor, music, ambience, outdoor patio bar ...… everything was right on point.
