Copied from Thrillists recent “20 best vegetarian restaurants in America” “VEDGE PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA Since opening in 2011, husband-and-wife team Richard Landau and Kate Jacoby's aptly named restaurant has been one of Philly's (and arguably America's) best restaurants of any type, plant-based menu or not. Possibly the best food I have ever eaten! My non vegan boyfriend agrees! The space and staff were amazing and the food was life changing. I wish all people could experience vegetables treated this well! It could really change the way we see food in America.
Vedge has absolutely amazing and delectable food!!! I could eat there every day.

Kudos to the owners, service staff and chefs for some amazing food. I’v... read more
We enjoyed eating at the Vedge resturant. it was our first time here and we had a very enjoyable time. the food was great.
The best meal I’ve had in my life. Period. This was a few years ago, and if I lived in Philly I’d be broke because I would be there all the time.
Amazing!! We were treated like royalty, everyone is so attentive. The food was fresh and fabulous. I wish I could eat here every night!
Inspiring me to step up my home dinners delicious variety and exceptional wait staff!

Below is a roasted beet steak sitting on lentils with 2 garnishing sauces, one bold and one cheesy. My first response was "Mmm, this is the best eggplant I've ever had." Being corrected that it was a large yellow beet. Hahaha. It's nice to laugh over good food. The other plates is brussel sprouts with a sweet and spicy (Worcester like) sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds and sitting on top of shita... read more
