I'm very sad to hear that Dr. Eckert was let go. 15 years ago we took our first puppy to VCA because someone recommended Dr. Eckert. He went above and beyond with the care for our dog. This July my dog started to decline very fast. Dr. Eckert was there every step of the way. We had taken her there multiple times a week to do anything and everything to make her better. The first thing VCA could do is to quit charging outrageous prices for their services. I guess you have to pay for that fancy building somehow; it’s insane. My family was recently robbed by these greedy people. I called a local reputable veterinarian clinic and found out the following: VCA office visit is $66, the other office charges $50. VCA Rabies vaccination is $47.49, the other office charges $25. VCA Bordetella vaccination is $44.30, the other office charges $30. My mother and I will never use this place again after losing Dr Eckert. We tolerated the completely incompetent extremely rude glorified “receptionists” and techs just to continue to see him.

I’ve supported this clinic for almost 40 years, happily. Now, I am left to find someone new. How dare you allow the dismissal of Dale Eckert! You’ve dismissed a large amount of your client base in the process. Shame on you, VCA. You’ve lost more than you know. What a lesson for your long term staff and clients. Shame on you VCA. Shame on you. I was shocked to hear that Dr. Dale Eckert no longer works at VCA Woodford animal Hospital. He has been our vet for well over 10 years and I trust him implicitly. This corporation cares nothing for its long term clients and employees. I was shocked this morning when I was told tomorrow’s appointment with Dr. Eckert had been cancelled because the VCA corporate powers that be had fired him earlier this week. How dumb are they? Removing the man who founded the clinic and made it a success over the years. Why? While VCA Woodford Animal Hospital has many wonderful doctors and staff, I can no longer support a corporate entity that has no clue about our community and shows that by getting rid of the heart and soul of this practice.
