RecommendedVCA Mainland Animal Hospital is the Best!! I highly recommend using them and Dr. Thurmond. Dr. Thurmond has been our Veterinarian since 2007. She is very compassionate and a very caring doctor. She is very knowledgeable and always knows the right treatment for our pets.
Dr. Amber Thurmond is great. Her compassion for the animals drives her to keep learning about all species of pets.
Dr Thurmond is rude and snappy she lacks compassion for not only the pets but the pet owners as well my grandma usually ONLY schedules appointments with dr cox or dr Guthrie but by some mistake our last appointment was with dr Thurmond I figured since I was with Mimi she wouldn’t be so snappy BUT I was sooooo wrong she was annoyed even angry with my 85 yr old grandma when she had to repeat something to her (my grandma is hard of hearing) I literally was heartbroken seeing and hearing for myself how this DR/Vet treats clients... read more
severly over priced and the "veterinarian's " there are absolute barbaric butchers and DO NOT know how to suture wounds properly via subcuticular suturing or even how to make propetlocking sutures donot take your pets here for so much as a shot none the less surgeries

we love love love Dr Guthrie, Katie, and the rest of the team at VCA. we have been going there for almost 11 years. They were with us through our aging pups and easing them (and us) through the final days with care and compassion. And today, we took our new puppy in for shots.
The entire staff is loving and amazing!!!
The staff was very friendly, and the pay wasn't so bad. This clinic wasn't my first choice, but I am glad we did. I would recomend it to everyone 💜
