Great Service – Everytime I visit Vanity, I feel like I'm getting a little treat. From the time I make the appointment to the time that I leave, I'm treated like a celebrity. The front desk staff is always helpful and they do everything possible to make your time there a great experience. Holly is an awesome stylist and I love going to her! She listens to her clients and doesn't let anyone walk out the door unless they are 100% happy (she does great manicures as well). Great Facial – I have received facials all over town and have to say Vanity Salon is great. They are so kind and pleasant. So many salons are full of themselves and "look down" on us that dont look like we are a size 2 or rich. The skin care expert talked With me -not to me. She listens to me too. Unfortunately, I really felt that what I wanted and what I got were two different things. I described to my hair stylist the hair cut that I wanted and showed her a picture but she took it in another direction without consulting me. Amazing 1st time experience! – I was looking for a new hair salon, so I "city-searched" the best hair salons in Austin. Vanity looked appealing, and the reviews were very positive. And I must agree after having experienced their service and care myself! Laura, the owner, was my hair stylist and she was fabulous - so knowledgeable and patient with my indecisiveness. Extremely Friendly People!! – I had my first experience at Vanity today, and it was wonderful. From the time I called to make the appointment right through being chased down to have my "Livestrong" bracelet returned, the folks were intent on making me feel pampered. Not good – The people were very nice but the manicure/pedicure was awful. Sitting in a hard chair, soaking my feet in a plastic tub isn't my idea of relaxing. And the paint job on my nails was ridiculous. The paint was clumpy and uneven. I still can't believe I paid for this.
I too as Mazzy was new to Austin and found Vanity on City Search. Ever since I have walked in those doors in Sept 2004, I have religiously kept going back to Laura. She is awesome and everyone there is down to earth. I recommend Vanity Salon to everyone who compliments on my hair!

Lisa is the most awesome colorist/stylist ever and everyone I have referred to her for highlights or haircuts become customer's for life too. She's extremely talented and really listens to get exactly what I am looking for. The location is great and all of the staff are easy going and helpful. I highly reccomend Vanity Salon.
first semi-expensive haircut – I decided to splurge on a nice haircut for my 21st birthday. I had been cutting my hair with the same woman since birth and i was in a HUGE rut. I was very intimidated by the whole 'salon' thing, but the staff was so great. I got a leg and underarm wax (which was still good, but I've had better). But the standout was my haircut.
