The Takashi Marakami Exhibition is brilliant - run, don’t walk! Bravo to the VAG for securing this remarkable collection curated from the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art!

It is worth walking through. Emily Carr and Liu Shou Kwan were amazing to look at. The Scandinavian influence on Design was also quite enjoyable.

I loved the exhibits we saw of Scandinavian design influences in Canada and of contemporary Canadian painters. Docents throughout the building, though friendly, were surprisingly uninformed about basics (what floor or building other exhibits were on, e.g.) and led us quite astray a couple times. We found real treasures and perfect souvenirs of various price ranges in the gift shop. Their staff were very helpful. The Café was delightful!

Great collection however I cannot understand why is the entrance double or more than Luvre in Paris? Also the person that works on the coats was acting as he deserves to work in a better place in life lol

Always a great place to check out art (esp. Vancouver art). Can't wait for the new location.

This is a wonderfully Vancouver mediocre gallery. Run by navel gazing narcissists, who think Emily Carr is Canada's fucking gift to the planet. Contemporary art only, everything else is "chiche". The worst of Picasso and Monet is all we can afford. A true reflection of Vancouver and it's complete lack of art appreciation, cultural depth and yet hyped as being relevant. Go vegan yoga yourselves.

Great way to spend a few hours when it’s raining. TheEmily Carr exhibition was really good, and the Royal Collection of portraits from the Queens private stash was wonderful. Very glad to have the opportunity to see such rare and precious works.
