Amazing Emily Carr exhibit! The Monet was good, but no match for what we found on the 4th floor!
I got cultured like yogourt. It was very nice.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Vancouver Art Gallery. The Monet show was so interesting - so many unsigned works providing a window into his creative process. We also enjoyed the wonderful Emily Carr exhibit on the top floor. We will be back!
Monet is Impressionism! That's a fact! But as for the most important works of the author - there are only two! 😞 I do not know if it's technically possible to move his giant canvas to the garden in Giverny. But surely his endless interest in the facade of Catedral de Rouen was lacking 😞 I do not want to discourage the lovers of art - specifically impresionism, not to go on a history excursion, the French sense of feeling.
A very thin and poor exhibition of works by Monet. Actually, the second floor show of local photographers was better laid out and more interesting. The Monet exhibition is no summer block buster event as far as I am concerned but I guess all those innocent cruise ship visitors don't mind be fleased at the VAG door for entry to a poor effort all around by the curatorial staff.

Loved seeing Claude Monet art, I enjoyed the short film about him it was very informative. If you visit Vancouver it's a must see in the Heart of downtown Vancouver. Always something interesting to see ❣️
