Great exhibit last month and the grandchildren loved the ‘hands on’ mixed media event
Went down to explore the Art Gallery during Spring Break. The kids were free and the exhibitions were interesting and challenging for all.
The Ambivalent Pleasures exhibit showcasing 39 Canadian artists was amazing... so much creativity and unique thinking and talent! The Susan Point exhibit was breathtaking - her Musqueam carvings and glass-blown pieces with the concept of the Spinning Whorl was absolutely stunning! I love this place!������
We had a fabulous visit to the VAG. The Susan Point Exhibition was so wonderful. Appreciated the informative explanations to the beautiful pieces. Thank you also to the helpful volunteers and staff.
I was there in 2012 for the Cone Sister Exhibition and so was expecting great things, so I was a little disappointed with the meagre showing of Group of 7 and other classical artists. This time (March 2017) The spindle art by Susan Point was exceptionally beautiful, however the other work within the gallery left me disturbed, confused and a little disappointed. Really disapointted dont waste ur time this month it was like kids had done the so called art work what happened to all the famous art in the world clearly some one forgot to book it for vancouver... personally thoughts but very spot on no offence ment.... have been to alot of museums and ill have to rate this the WORST EVA!!!!!
I simply loved it. A must-go for sure if you swing by Vancouver.
